Lumala completes move
Abdu Lumala has become the sixth signing made by Vipers Sports Club as preparations for 2022/2023 season take new twist as the club prepares for Confederation of African Football Champions League early stages.
Lumala joins the Venoms after Joseph Marvin Youngman, Isa Mubiru, Ashiraf Mandela and Congolese duo including midfielder Olivier Omadjondo Osomba and goalkeeper Alfred Macumu Mudekereza as the other signings having joined the Kitende based side.
The pacy right winger who joins on a free transfer says taking the Venoms to CAF Champions League group stages is the major target and can’t wait to get started not forgetting to defend the Star Times Uganda Premier League they took last season.
“I am here to help my teammates get better and me also to get better and be on a higher level I want to be on.” Lumala told Vipers SC media in an interview after his unveiling.
“The objective is to help the club to go the Caf Champions’ League group stages and can’t wait to get started. I also want to win the league because it’s my first time to play in Uganda and to the fans, they should expect to see the best of me.”
