As the Uganda Cranes get closer to Saturday’s Total AFCON Cameroon 2019 qualifier against Cape Verde, the mood in the camp at Kabira Country Club, Bukoto is impressive and promising.

All the players are fully fit (physically and mentally) for the game that Uganda requires to win or pick at least a point to seal the AFCON slot, for the second time in a row.

From the basis of Thursday’s training session, all the players expressed their readiness to take on the opponents with spirited display in training whose focus included pressing, playing under minimal spaces, inter-play, shooting and lots of stretching.

Meanwhile the Cape Verde national team arrived safely arrived yesterday afternoon.

The delegation of 35 people with 24 players and 11 officials was received by the FUFA Protocol team that had Richard Nandigobe and delegate Sande Moni.

They were driven to Sheraton Kampala Hotel in Kampala where they are to be accommodated for the duration of their stay in the country.

There is one last training session today morning before Cape Verde conducts their training in the afternoon at 4 PM at Namboole.

Uganda Cranes leads group L with 10 points and a point would be good enough to seal qualification. Tanzania follows with 5, Cape Verde 4 and Lesotho on 2 points.
