The Zzina Awards 19 nominees list was released a week ago at Club Amnesia and voting is already ongoing via the galaxy fm website

The awards have 17 categories of which 2 are selected by the organisers that is; Legend of the year and Sports Personality of the year.

Among the categories voted for is the ‘Male Artist Of  The Year’ that was won by Ykee Benda last year at Zzina Awards 18 who unfortunately is not nominated this year.

The nominees are;

Jose Chameleone

Jose Chameloene is not a suprise on this list. He has over the years proved to be one of the best artistes to grace the music industry. His hit singles Champion, Mateeka and collaboration with Kalifa Aganaga earned him a spot on this list

King Saha

Yes, King Saha has worked hard this year and he deserves a spot on this list. With hits like Mpa Love, Biri Biri, On my way, there is no reason why he shoudn’t be included in this category. However, its the fans that decide whether he takes home the accolade or not.

Bobi Wine

Bobi Wine has been here for almost 2 decades. Although his music career has not so convincing of late, he managed to produce a hit song that topped charts, count downs and dominated airplay.  Kyarenga was so big that it earned him a place in this tight category.

Gravity Omutujju

Gravity has over the recent years proved that he is one of the biggest rappers. He has managed to produce a hit almost every year. His hit song ‘Embuzi zakutudde’ hit forced him onto this list without any doubt and he deserves it.

Eddy Kenzo

Eddy Kenzo has already sealed his place as one of the best artists of our generation. He has won a Zzina Award and here he is to claim another one. His hit song ‘Pull Up’ with Tanzanian Harmonize went places worldwide. It earned him a place on this list that he deserves.

John Blaq

Who doesn’t know this new kid on the block. Yes, he is an upcoming artistes but he has outed hits that most musicians that have been around for a decade have never outed. He has hits like ‘Tukwatagane’, ‘Obubadi’ among others. He with no doubt deserves a place on this list because he has worked absolutely hard.
