Arguably one of Uganda’s biggest telecommunications  company MTN Uganda has rewarded the 5000 Meter  World record holder Joshua Cheptegei with 123 Million shillings as a thank you package for the good work done for his country.

The giant company has also given the long distance runner 12GB of data, 35 Voice minutes, and 36 SMS every month for twelve months

Taking to social media to confirm the reward given to Cheptegei, MTN put out a brief post that read.

”We have rewarded the athlete with UGX. 123,536,000 and 12GB of data, 35 Voice minutes, and 36 SMS every month for twelve months, all symbolic of the new world record time that he recently achieved. #GoodTogether”
