If you talk about Ugandan Fashion across borders, Joe Malaika will be one of the names to pop up first.
Over the years, the International Award-winning fashion designer has represented Uganda on the International stage.
From featuring on some of the biggest fashion stages in the world, Malaika has been recognized with appreciation awards from Massachusetts.
His latest achievements are featuring on the front page of DreamRose Lifestyle Magazine.
DreamRose Lifestyle Magazine founder Annmarie LaFauci of Dream Rose Lifestyle Magazine chose designer Joe Malaika to appear on the cover because he was the ultimate candidate. “Joe Malaika is just that guy.. he walks in the room with his unique one-of-a-kind jacket and cool shades he owns it, he commands it. People just see him and assume he’s someone important, someone, to watch and he’s definitely is.” She said.
The Fashion designer Extraordinaire is the only Ugandan to ever appear on a cover magazine of this magnitude.
But it’s not just the celebrity look that draws one to him Joe is super talented. Joe Malaika did headline the laugh of Dream Rose Lifestyle Magazine’s winter edition which took place at BenCotto Italian Restaurant in Downtown Boston.
In a Facebook post, Malaika expressed the feeling of being featured on the cover of this prestigious Magazine. “Looking forward to tomorrow night. I have been featured in several magazines but never on the cover. A million thank yous to the #dreamroselifestylemagzine crew there are several people in the commonwealth of Massachusetts, still speechless 🙏. Thank you.” He pointed out.
Ugandans are still waiting on when Designer Joe Malaika will bring his talents to “Downtown Kampala” as he likes to call it.
