“So while at the checkup, Doctors gave me some good information that got me excited! I was told that there is a new treatment (just brought to Uganda but been existing around the world) called #Embolization, where you don’t need to go under an open operation to get free from the terrible disease.” she narrates before explaining what the treatment is all about.

“What the Doctor does is inject very small particles like sand into the arteries that supply the fibroids. The particles stick to the vessel wall. This causes a clot to develop that blocks off the blood supply. Once the blood supply is gone, the fibroids shrink! Bigwelela bugwelezi bwe chwiii! How amazing!!!”, she adds.

One of the advices you gave was going for occasional checkups to situate whether one is safe, something I did which I believe everyone should consider doing. You can as well keep educating yourself on the internet about the measure. I will keep telling you about this, or will just bring the doctor to explain it himself as you ask questions. #StaySafe”
