Byekwaso Takes On

KCCA FC will host Nyamityobora FC in the first leg of the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.

This will be Morley Byekwaso’s second game as interim manager at KCCA FC.

KCCA FC won 3-0 against BUL FC in the manager’s first game in charge.

Both sides have met twice in history. KCCA FC winning 6-1 and 2-0 on both occasions.

KCCA FC know a win against Nyamityobora FC in the Uganda Cup will keep their hopes high in pursuit of the 11th Stanbic Uganda Cup.

We are ready as usual. We have prepared so well. The boys have trained so well and are picking up.

“We are going to play a very good team in Nyamityobora and have a very good coach in Makumbi. So we expect a challenge against them.” Morley Byekwaso said.

Statistics;

  1. KCCA FC has played twice against Nyamityobora FC and this was in StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
  2. Nyamityobora has never won against KCCA FC. They have lost 2-0 and 6-1 to KCCA FC before.

Julius Poloto and Samuel Kato are likely to start the game against Nyamityobora FC. The pair trained with the first team for the last three days.

Forward Sam Ssenyonjo returned to first team training and will make the match day squad.

Forwards Lwanga Charles and Sadat Anaku are all available for selection. Lwanga has scored eight goals in the last 11 games while Anaku has scored six goals in the last seven games for the club.

Brian Aheebwa, Juma Balinya, Gift Ali, Musa Ramathan and John Revita are ruled out due to injuries.

Revita, Aheebwa and Gift returned to training but are not training with the first team.

Teenagers Dominic Ayella and Joseph Kafumbe are away for school.
