KCCA FC players underwent a financial literacy skills training by Chipper Cash and Be Money Wiser a day ago at La Forest Resort in Muyenga.

In our bid to go beyond the game, ‘Kasasiro boys’ and other staff underwent a Financial Literacy Training that was conducted by Be Money Wiser and Chipper Cash.

The Financial Literacy Training for the staff was intended to equip them with skills and knowledge to make informed and effective financial decisions and raising interest in personal finance is a huge focus of the club and understanding basic financial concepts for all our staff is a priority.

While speaking to the staff, Tumuramye Dan the Chipper Cash Country Manager said they intend to bridge a gap between local football and AS ROMA. He however emphasized that they plan to roll out to other sectors with a major focus on Financial Inclusion and Literacy. “We partnered with Be Money Wiser because they managed to get KCCA and requested us as a company to be part of the cause because of the connection we have with AS Roma and our abilities to help the club and staff grow.” He said.

KCCA FC CEO Anisha Muhoozi thanked Chipper Cash and Be Money Wiser for the initiative. Muhoozi said the information would help the young footballers to grow a habit of saving when they are still earning.

Muhoozi also advised the players and other staff to try as much as they can to invest in every business that can generate an income for them in order to secure their future financially. “While you still have a chance to earn, make sure you invest in whatever way possible to secure your future. You are lucky to have such training from Chipper Cash and Be Money Wiser. Thank them for this initiative and make sure you put what you have learned into practice.” She said.

Nabbanja Tilda, Founder Be Money Wiser applauded KCCA FC and Chipper Cash for allowing to be part of the Financial Literacy Training. Nabbanja also emphasized that as a company, they are proud to have equipped a number of people and organizations with Financial Literacy that has helped them grow financially.

Nabbanja asked the staff to pay attention to their financial behavior if they intend to grow financially but that would only be possible if they are financially disciplined, a reason Be Money Wiser organized the training.

Chipper Cash donated hand made balls to KCCA FC and promised to support the club even more.
