3 Busted For Robbing Chinese
Kampala Metropolitan Police has revealed that 6 suspected thugs behind the robbery attack on a Chinese residence in Kyambogo Kampala have been nabbed.
The thugs are believed to be part of a 4 man gang that terrorized the house on Lower Estate Edinburg Avenue in Kyambogo and went off with over 85 million shillings.
According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga ,the thugs were busted in a joint security operation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Directorate-CID,Crime Intelligence , Chieftancy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and Kampala Metropolitan police .
Enanga says that out of the 6,3were part of the group that stormed the home under the disguise of National Water and Sewerage Cooperation -NWSC staff in early April.
Those arrested include the Ring leader of the gang Edison Musinguzi 35yrs from Nansana Ganda, Mbabazi Judith a 32 yr old resident of Lungujja, Kalyango Willson 46 from Mengo an expert at break-ins, Kamuzo sositin ,40 from Kasese, the driver Mperese Joseph 46 from Kitibwa Mbwo road and Muwooza Dan 45 from Mpererwe.
Edison Musinguzi ,Muwooza Dan and Mbabazi Judith are part of the 4 thugs that stormed the household and robbed money .

Enanga says the police used advanced surveillance tactics to grab the criminals.
”We arrested the Female suspect from Ntungamo where she was constructing a house for the mother, she has been identified as Kiiza Elizabeth, she was using this name until she was deported from China and changed her name to Mbabazi Judith,” he stated.
Enanga says Mbabazi led them to 2 others who were tracked down at a guest house called Butraka in Bundibudiyo,2 others were also busted in Kyambogo on their way to the Democratic Republic of Congo -DRC for another robbery.
He says the 2 suspects had hired a separate ride with break-in implements to transport them to DRC but were captured and the vehicle impounded. The thugs conducted the robbery in a Toyota Premio Reg, number UBB838 Q.
The robbery went viral after it was caught on CCTV , showing the thugs including 3 men and 1 woman entering the residence and being directed by a Chinese man to the water meter.
A few moments later ,one of the thugs attacks the Chinese from the back on the neck and drags him inside the house where the robbery takes place .
They, later on, seized another Ugandan house help who later alerted police of the incident,
