7 Men Gang-Rape 15-yr- old

Police in Butaleja is hunting for 5 horny men believed to be part of a 7 man gang accused of pouncing on and raping a 15-year-old girl.

The monster men reportedly attacked the teenage girl who was on an errand with her sister in the evening at Mutongo village, Naweyo S/c, Butaleja district on 01/4/2021 .

According to AIG Mugwe Moses the acting Bukedi south region police mouthpiece the case was reported to the victim’s father on the 3rd of April 2021.

Mugwe says preliminary investigations indicate that the girl was gang-raped in a forest where she and her sister had gone to fetch firewood.

Mugwe states that the girl admitted to police that while in the forest the 2 sisters were attacked by the 7 thugs who threatened them and demanded sex.

7 Men Gang-Rape 15-yr- old

The 2 girls tried to escape but one was captured in the process while her bigger sister survived them with minor injuries.

He says the 15 yr old girl upon return from the forest only narrated to her sister that all 7 men rapped her and run away.

The 2 decided to keep silent on the matter until one of the goons stormed their home and told their mother how they gang raped her daughter

Mugwe says the mother later shared with the father who managed to get the truth out of the 2girls .

The victim was able to identify her suspects to police by face and nicknames they commonly use in the village.

They include,Kaleba Salim 30yrs old, Mugwere from Mutongo village, Naweyo S/c and Namunaga 27 yrs old, a resident of Nyanga Village, Naweyo S/c, Butaleja District.

Meanwhile police has subjected the victim to necessary tests and medication as investigations proceed.

Mugwe says the arrested suspects shall appear in court while police hunts for the other 5 on the same charge

Mugwe has advised the community to always report to police, timely crime incidences in their jurisdictions,to enable police to respond in a timely and manner.
