Ssegirinya Bounces Back

Ssegirinya has always anticipated this moment in his life despite impending legalities over his qualifications for Mp in court.

Sulaiman Kidandala his rival petitioned the High Court in Kampala challenging Ssegirinya’s victory on grounds that he does not possess the required minimum academic qualification of an MP.

Ssegirinya presented a duly filled nomination form accompanied by academic qualifications of UCE (Senior 4) and UACE (Senior 6) both in the names of “Ssegirinya Richard” from Pimbas Secondary School and a Deed Poll for changing of names from “Ssegirinya Richard” to “Ssegirinya Muhammad”.

Ssegirinya was transferred from Doctor’s hospital in Sseguku to Nairobi for further treatment in April after he complained of ear and abdominal complications upon his release from Kitalya Prison.

While on his sickbed in Nairobi, Ssegirinya, in a recorded video clip said that he had been diagnosed with liver complications.

“According to doctors, I sustained wounds on my liver and possibly I may need a liver transplant. My health condition isn’t good at all and I hope to take a lengthy period on the sidelines while attaining specialised medical attention. Pray for me,”Ssegirinya said then.
