Kambale Officially Relegates Kitara

The Red Eagles put up another good display with an intention to win the Startimes Uganda Premier after they walloped Kitara FC 4-0 and condemn them to relegation.

On-form forward Erick Kambale scored twice while left back Arthur Kiggundu and substitute Frank Kalanda got a goal each to help the Wankulukuku boys to victory.

“I am so happy to have scored twice today but the important thing is the team effort, we are still focused on our target to win the title, we now look at winning the title, and our next game in Uganda Cup came where we shall take on KCCA Fc.” Eric Kambale talks to the press.

The Red Eagles were at it again but this time using the left flank, Arthur Kiggundu calmly controlled John Byamukama’s pass in the left wing before his pin pointed cross found Erick Kambale who made no mistake, heading home to open the scoring in the 8th minute.

The goal scorer turned provider in the 28th minute when he won the ball abit deep and exchanged good interplay with Arthur Kiggundu who sneaked into the box and calmly slotted home to double the lead and send the hosts into the break with the lead. The goal was Kiggundu’s second this season and his first assist as well.

After half time, Express continued to show dominance and Erick Kambale got everyone on their feet with a beauty of a finish, the stylish forward made his way into the box and seemed cornered but he majestically dummied the defence as though he was shooting and they all fell for it only for him to slot the ball at the far bottom corner of the goal and make it 3-0 in the 64th minute, cool finish it was.
