Mr. Update gives Museveni advice on delayed cabinet.

President Museveni has taken longer than usual to announce a new cabinet. After he was sworn in in early May, the President was expected to announce a new cabinet soon after the swearing in of MPs but it did not come to pass.

Inside sources have attributed the delay to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Opposition legislator Muhammed Ssegirinya has now expressed his dissatisfaction with President Museveni’s continued delay to announce a new Cabinet.

According to Ssegirinya, President Museveni is playing hide and seek like a school kid. This is because he knows that he must announce a new cabinet but he is pretending like he doesn’t.

Ssegirinya also went ahead to claim the President is taking his time yet he is going to announce poor quality ministers that will in the end disappoint the country as usual. “You might think he is serious about the quality of his Cabinet when he takes such exaggerated constitutional delays to exercise his mandate, only to come out with a geezer who fears the red carpet, or a woman with grocery eyebrows,” Mr. Update said.

The Kawempe North MP said Museveni should not attempt forgetting to name him in the incoming cabinet because he is one of the few people qualified for the positions.
