Sheebah snubbed as Spice Diana & Rema Namakula get Nominated In the prestigious AFRIMMA awards

As self styled local feminist Sheebah Karungi continues to poke her nose in peoples’ affairs especially on Facebook, a few of her close colleagues in the music industry have been nominated for the prestigious AFRIMMA awards.

It was widely expected that her music would put Sheebah in a favourable position to be nominated for this year’s AFRIMMA awards, considering the heights she has scaled on Uganda’s music scene.

The organizers of AFRIMMA yesterday evening released a list of musicians nominated in the prestigious awards and from Uganda only Spice Diana and Rema Namakula made the cut from the crop of gifted artists in the country.

Nominated in the Best Female Category, Spice & Rema will battle it out with Karun from Kenya, Merry Zerabruk from Eritrea, Nandy and Zuchu from Tanzania.

Talking about her nomination in the awards, Spice Diana took to Instagram and thanked her fans for the milestone so far achieved.

“OMG waking up to some great news. Hey my country people 🇺🇬 we are nominated in #afrima #bestfemaleartist #bestfemaleartistEastAfrica Thank you all for pushing me this far,” Spice Diana posted.
