Sheila Gashumba is undoubtedly one of the top influencers in the country.
The pencil-thin social media model has over the recent months been seen promoting Nigerian musicians like Don Jazzy, Adekunle Gold among others.
When asked why she promotes Nigerian musicians at the expense of Ugandans, Sheila Gashumba claimed most Ugandans musicians cannot afford her simply because none of them is willing to pay more than 10 Million yet she can’t even promote for that “pocket change”. “I have a lot of contracts but I can’t work for 10m to promote a song. Influencing needs time and effort, that’s very little for someone like me. That is why I don’t promote Ugandan musicians. Most of them can’t afford that.” She said.
Sheila Gashumba has however been seen promoting the music of uprising musicians like Mudra, Liam Voice, Anknown Prosper, Zulitums, boyfriend Rickman Manrick among others who can hardly afford to spend 10 Million on one influencer for song promotion.
It should be noted that over the recent years, Sheila Gashumba has attached controversy to her brand. From dating a robber, attacking former employers for paying peanuts, bragging on how she spends most on beer, posing semi-n*de on social media, the list is endless.
