2021 was not all roses for some celebrity couples and among those for whom things did not work out was Daxx Kartel and Momo19.
After a fancy wedding, the two were rumoured to have gone their separate ways, which Momo confirmed.
In a rather bizarre interview, the 26-year-old media personality revealed why she had dumped singer Daxx Kartel, soon after their colourful wedding.
The former BBS TV presenter claimed that something unusual happened to her and boom! She was forced to slap her man a ‘No Kombya’ ban yet he had fully paid Maher. She went on to blame one of her trusted friends, who she said cast spells on her to fail her marriage with Daxx.
“Someone (my close friend) thought she would bewitch me and I leave my hubby Daxx Kartel. Ugandans are not easy because it was just a few days after our wedding that everything changed…I couldn’t share the same bed with him and we eventually separated. I was last seen happy just days after the wedding but later on things became bitter. I was hit with depression and lost my memory. I could even easily forget about anything,” she explained.
But after several months of fussing and fighting, Momo19 has clarified that she and Daxx Kartel are back now together and making babies.
Speaking during her latest interview, she explained what really happened and confirmed that Omulyeruba is still her hubby, for better, for worse.
“We didn’t break up. A day came and we just decided to walk out on each other. We said our farewells. We did not abuse each other, we didn’t fight. We just walked different paths. It was just a moment but I still consider him my husband because we did not sign the divorce papers,” she said.
