Bobi Wine, Barbie leave Fik Fameica’s concert thirsty
Off his busy schedule, National Unity Platform (NUP) strongman and popstar, Bobi Wine together with his bae, Barbie Kyagulanyi honoured rapper Fik Fameica’s invitation and attended his concert at Hotel Africana, on Friday.
Holding Barbie’s hand firmly, as usual, soon after stepping into the building, Bobi Wine’s presence was vibrant, with his security detail headed by the thick bearded Eddy Mutwe, paving way for the former presidential aspirant, who finished second (2nd) in the 2021 general elections.
Luckily enough, no artist was performing on the stage when the power couple made their grand entrance to the VVIP section, otherwise, it would have been a total blasphemy for him or her as the attention switched.
Literally, Bobi and Barbie’s presence swept every attendee on their feet and the scent at the fully packed venue changed too. It was People Power scent smelling!
NUP disciples and revellers, especially those in ordinary section stretched their necks like giraffes, with hopes of at least catching a glimpse of their favourite singer cum opposition honcho.
Soon after, “Bobi Bobi Bobi” chant started ringing across Hotel Africana, with those in the VVIP section, hustling for selfies as they shouted; “Pulezidenti, Omubanda, Fadha“ and all those glorifying titles, at the top of their voices.
Donning a matching navy blue attire, white steppers and Adidas cap for Bobi, and a smocking hot red and black designer dress, which emphasised Barbie’s tiny waist and shapely hips, the couple majestically sat to watch Fresh Buoy Fik Fameica do his thing on the stage.
However, as they enjoyed the thrilling performance, nothing like water, soda or even beer was on the table to quench their thirst! Can you imagine?! Bobi and his sweetheart resorted to taking selfies as they perhaps waited for waitresses to at least deliver something on the table but all in vain. It must have been a painful experience looking at the waitresses bypassing them with ice cold drinks, sikyo?
In company of their eldest son, Solomon Kampala, Nubian Li and Dan Magic, nonetheless, they at least showed respect to Fik Fameica, who lavished praise on the NUP darling, labelling him inspirational.
“…I really love you so much brother! I respect your hustle, man you are such a big inspiration to the generation,” the man of the moment, gave his shout outs to Bobi, amidst wild cheers from the crowd. Soon after the big ups, Bobi with the entourage vanished from the venue!
Donning a shiny white suit, Fik Fameica continued with his electric performance till midnight. Fellow artists such as Martha Mukisa, Spice Diana, Sheebah, Lydia Jazmine, Geosteady and many others came through to support the boy from Kawempe, whose maiden concert a few years back flopped.
