KCCA FC strengthen their squad

It’s rare to see Ugandan clubs offering contracts to players beyond 2-3 years and if they do so, it means you are something special in the beautiful game of football.

This seems the case with KCCA FC’s new signing Haruna Lukwago who was handed a five year deal by the Lugogo based side.

Lukwago penned a five year deal from 2022-27 with KCCA as he signed from Mbale Heroes FC. Lukwago who is 5.9 ft has previously played for teams such as CRO FC, Rwampara Bulls, and Mbarara City FC Junior Team.

He plays as a right fullback/ winger. The youngster also played for the KCCA FC U20 side in the just concluded Cambiasso and Rainbow International Tournament in Dar es salaam, Tanzania which KCCA FC won.

While speaking about signing for KCCA, Lukwago couldn’t contain his excitement. He further revealed how he can’t wait to get started and repay the faith put in him by the club.

“I am delighted to join KCCA FC. It is every young player’s dream to play for a club like KCCA FC. I was so happy when i got my first chance with the club in the Cambiasso and Rainbow U20 International Tournament in Dar es salaam, Tanzania and we won it.”

”It was a very good feeling for me and my mates. It is the same success I want to achieve now that I have been signed to the senior team. I want to give my best for this club and win here. I have shared with the junior team coaches Richard Malinga, Saka Mpiima and the Club Manager Morley Byekwaso who have told me the responsibilities of the senior team are different from those of the junior team and I believe I am ready for the task ahead.”
