Old Boys battle on

Volta Arena Kyanja turned into a theatre of intimacy, competition, and nyash as the Jinja College Old Boys descended upon Volta Arena Kyanja for the highly anticipated JICO League Season 2 opener. It was the start of JICO League Season 2.

Not even the cloudy weather could stop the festivities, as the Old Boys, accompanied by their entourages of ‘big nyash ‘girls, brought a burst of energy to the Hill.

As the unit football teams clashed, a parallel competition unfolded, ‘the Battle of Nyash’, where the fans rivaled off the field, having their own fun. Friends and family cheered for their teams and had a good time together.

Collegians won 3-2 against Scorpion Kings. Solida, the champions, showed they were still the best. Winter beat Kaswandi, and Mbuyaga welcomed Kasenge with a 2-0 win. Mbokya won 3-2 against Nvuluga, and newcomers Kaboige and Kibati tied with a 2-2 score.

More wins and exciting moments played on as Solida won 4-0 against Scorpion Kings. Mboyo had a close win against Mbuyaga. Kibati won 1-0 against Collegians, and Mbokya dominated LXG with a 6-1 score.

Old Boys battle on

Dr. Masaba Yunus, the President of Jinja College Old Boys Association (JICOBA) and a player for Mbokya, asked the alumni to use this event as a networking platform and make new connections. He also encouraged JICO OBS to rally in support of the association’s activities.
