As we celebrate the national rugby 7s gold medals at the just concluded All Africa Games, Nile Special is also celebrating a gold medal, a milestone having won the 23rd Monde Selection Awards Gold medal, the most by any beer in East Africa.

Monde Selection awards are global annual beer awards at which the beverages with the best liquid quality are recognized, for their meticulous adherence to processes and consistency.
To celebrate the landmark, Nile Special will be giving away gold medals to its consumers in a nationwide celebration of the numerous Monde Selection gold medals the brand has won over the years.
It’s not everyday that one gets to touch, later on win gold. But Nile Special is making it possible. This time round we decided to share the gold medals with our consumers that have made the brand what it is today; a true Ugandan icon.

This will be through a promotion during which participants will stand a chance to win the Gold Medals. The promotion is part of the second phase of the brand’s ongoing Unmatched in Gold campaign that was launched earlier this year.

We have made the mechanics very simple to ensure nationwide participation.
During the nine-week promotion, the Nile Special consumers will be required to buy at least a bucket of Nile Special for themselves and their friends, fill in a coupon and stand a chance to win one of the medals each valued at UGX1.5M. Literally and figuratively, we want to give Ugandans a taste of gold.
Every week, there will be a televised raffle draw to announce five lucky winners of the gold medals. At the end of the eighth week, a Grand Gold challenge will be staged for the lucky consumers to win the final gold medals.

Holistically, this is a celebration of Uganda given Nile Special’s deeply rooted heritage. Indeed, Nile Special’s heritage as a truly Ugandan brand is undoubted. It is brewed at the source of the Nile one of the country’s foremost heritage sites, using predominantly local ingredients. This is why we support and celebrate everything that brings Uganda pride.
