Bobi Wine fires up fans, fellow artists with a cappella

Bobi Wine might be so much into politics today but his first love has always been music. His political ambitions have come at a great cost and affected his music career after the yellow bus driver, Sevo, cracked the whip and banned him from performing or holding any music show for tickling the leopard’s an*s.

Since 2018, Bobi Wine has not physically performed anywhere in Uganda ( only staged two online shows, which scored tremendous success by the way) and one might think that he could have lost his magical musical touch. But this week on Wednesday, those who attended dancehall star, Zex Bilangilangi‘s Hercules 10 Times Album Listening party at Exo Lounge, which the self-styled Bad Man from Kamwokya graced, came back home with a different story.

The National Unity Platform (NUP) Presido took time off his busy schedule, and came through to support Zex Bilangilangi, one of the very few musically exciting and trending Firebase Crew graduates.

Bobi Wine and his crew, full of bouncers and other ‘pikelele’ made their way into Exo Lounge and boom! The attention switched to them.

When he was given the mic to say a word or two, Bobi didn’t forget to give the attendees an acappella, and he indeed swept them off their feet.

Sampling his bangers, ‘Burn Dem’ and ‘Bad Man From Kamwokya’, a collabo he features rapper, Navio, the 40-year-old popstar cum opposition honcho and activist effortlessly fired up the crowd, including the likes of Spice Diana, Karole Kasita, Feffe Bussi and other artists, who came through to support Zex!
