The aspirant for the Kampala lord mayor seat, Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone has threatened to take legal action against the police, for what he has termed brutality against his supporters

Earlier last week, Chameleon had organized a function to open up his campaign offices along Balintuma road in Rubaga division, but police fired teargas to disperse his supporters.

Now, Chameleone says, many were left wounded after the incident, and one supporter is alleged to have died from injuries sustained during the Tuesday fracas.

He has also demanded the unconditional release of his supporter Ronald Lumu who was arrested and detained by Police.
