Mululi, Kajoba The Best

Viper SC coach Fred Kajoba and Police striker Brian Mululi have won the Pilsner February awards for coach and player respectively.

Kajoba guided the defending champions to 17 points out of the possible 21, beating MYDA, UPDF, Police, BUL and Onduparaka while drew with Kyetume and Express .

“If you are in Vipers you are supposed to be named the coach of the month frequently.” Fred Kajoba said before adding;

“I thank my players and technical team for the job done because without their efforts, i wouldn’t have won it.”

The Vipers coach beat Express’s Wasswa Bbosa who guided his team to 14 points from the possible 18 points.

Meanwhile, Mululi scorer of five goals in five games in February beat off strong competition from Express’ George Ssenkaaba and Vipers’ Paul Mucurezi.

After joining Police from Kitara in January, Mululi netted against Kyetume FC, BUL FC and Vipers SC.

Both Kajoba and Mululi walked away with a token of 1 Million Ugandan Shillings each.

The crowning ceremony was held at Kati Kati Restaurant, along Lugogo By-pass in Kampala on Monday, March 15.

“I thank God for everything I did in life and in particular the month of February 2021. I thank my teammates, family and fans for the support.” Muruli stated in a press briefing.

Muruli scored five goals in the month of February in five matches played against Kyetume, Bright Stars, Vipers and BUL.

Having played the first four games of the season at Kitara, Muruli scored three goals.

I am very happy for this accolade and being voted as coach of the month. I will dedicate this award to all the workers at St Mary’s Stadium and the elderly community that I have always associated with. Kajoba stated.

Fred Kajoba has also hinted on the loss Vipers got over the weekend that he never thought URA’s gaffer would play that style of football he brought in the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.
