NBL set up an e-commerce website (www.beernow.ug) during the first lockdown in April 2020. The platform made it easier for Ugandans aged 18 and over, to order and purchase beer brands online and have them delivered to a location of their choice.

This was in response to the high demand for NBL products. The platform was also because the Lockdown has kept people home and they were not able to easily access their favorite beers from bars and shops so it is intended to make sure beer lovers have beer delivered at their doorsteps at the most affordable price in the shortest period of time.

But because the lockdown was eased up and people were able to access their favourite brands at the nearest sakes points, the platform significance reduced.

However, due to the the latest 42 day lockdown, the platform relevance has been on high demand thus revived and now fully operating.

Currently, the service is available to areas in and around Kampala and delivery will be made during the periods permitted according to the government guidelines on COVID-19. It will, however, be rolled out to other areas in due time.

The good news is that the delivery is free when you buy a crate. The minimum order one can place is 10 bottles and for orders less than a crate, the customer pays between UGX 3,000 to UGX 5,000 depending on their location.
