Legendary musician Jose Chameleone was bedridden at the start of the month before getting back on his feet a few weeks ago.

According to his brother Pallaso, Jose Chameleone was struggling with digestive, pancreatic, and kidney problems.

In a recent video, Jose Chameleone thanked his fans, friends, and family for praying for him to get back on his feet.

However, music promoter Bajjo believes otherwise. He claims the legendary singer is faking sickness to get money from Gen. Saleh.

Bajjo said Jose Chameleone failed to get the money through his association and has now resorted to faking sickness. “Chameleone was never sick. He was faking to get money from Saleh.” He said.

It should be noted that Musicians including Bebe Cool, Jose Chameleone, Weasel, Pallaso, Feffe Bussi, Cindy, Ragga Dee, Phina Mugerwa, Kabako, Ronald Mayinja, Catherine Kusasira, Ziza Bafana, as well as comedians and promoters, have been flocking to Gulu where President Museveni’s younger brother General Salim Saleh is based. Saleh also heads Operation Wealth Creation.

The industry recently came under criticism when a ‘begging’ list from Uganda Musicians Superstars Association (UMSA) led by Chameleone leaked on social media, asking Saleh for Shs 9.4bn to be shared among themselves, in a country where stimulus packages remain shady business, and health workers work in spite of unpaid dues.
