Swangz Avenue signs Zafaran, Vinka in panic

Swangz Avenue has made a name in scouting fresh talents, especially females and nurturing them into mega stars.

The Muyenga-based record label has in the recent past mentored little known artists like the late Sera, Irene Ntale, Winnie Nwagi, Vinka and Azawi.

The latest on the list is Zafaran Lovie! Born Josephine Nakyoonyi, is a diamond in the rough, who has backed up music legend, Jose Chameleone and King Saha, with soothing vocals, recently at the Tusker Malt Conversessions.

The Swangz team, being behind the production of Conversession online show, might have spotted something unique and special in Zafaran, and boom! She had to be retained.

Today, Friday, the dreadlocked crooner has had her dream of becoming a star, kick-started.
