Diamond Platnumz is a proud owner of a private jet, going by his latest braggadocio announcement.

The multi-award winning Tanzania superstar, who widened his income through smart investments such as Transportation, Wasafi Media house, a state of the art recording studio and betting company under the Wasafi label, disclosed in an interview with DW Africa, that he purchased a jet, that comes at an eye-watering amount of dime. Is it just Showbiz or actually the 33-year-old crooner is the first artist in the region to own a jet?

Diamond was answering questions on why he is fond of buying expensive luxuries, including sleek rides. He was quick to respond, explaining that it shows he is the real deal in the East African region and nobody else.

The loaded and flashy star, who grew up from a humble background, apparently owns several mansions, apartments and high-end wheels, including a Rolls Royce Cullinan. He thumped his chest like King Kong and bragged that his pricey acquisitions prove he is eating life with a big spoon.

“Especially for someone like me coming from the streets, sometimes I feel like buying a million-dollar car. What for? “I have to do it because they will not value you if you don’t. Someone else will look like the real deal.”

Diamond then let the cat out on his private jet, saying he is still hungry for more.

“Actually I have bought a jet because I keep upgrading,” he revealed.

If his statement is true, then Diamond will enter the record books as the first East African musician to buy a private plane.

Diamond blasts Forbes for berating his Net worth

In 2021, Forbes Magazine Africa released a list of richest musicians in Africa and the East African region. According to the list, Forbes ranked NUP darling H.E Bad Bobi Wine as the wealthiest with a net worth of $7.2 Million (Shs25 Billion). Diamond was placed in the second position with $6.7 million (Shs 23 Billion) and in third place was Uganda’s legendary star Jose Chameleone with a net worth of $6.2 million (Shs 21 Billion).

No sooner had he read the list, than he came out all guns blazing, bashing and trashing the rankings.

“FORBES: Next time Google me to know [what] I am really worth of before putting me on your Stupid Richest African Musicians list!!!!!,” he posted on his Instagram page.
