TikToker Madubarah: I returned empty-handed from Dubai after 2 years

To a number of people, traveling for ‘kyeyo’ in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a dream come true.

They fantasize so many good things. The life. The money. And all.

This was TikToker, Madubarah in 2018 or thereabout.

On the invite of friends, he traveled to Dubai.

It is while there that he saw what it means to survive in the Arab world.

”Before traveling, I had 3 or 4 motorcycles operating as boda bodas but when i came back, i couldn’t even transport myself to Kisasi from the airport,” Madubarah told the Morning Saga crew days ago.

”Even the friends who invited me to go to Dubai didn’t even have jobs yet they had convinced me that one is able to earn up to Shs 4 million” he adds, bashing fake friends.

It hit him back in Uganda that he had to start afresh.

He returned to container village and asked shops to give him pairs of shoes which he would sell (on commission) and later take the money.

Today, Madubarah vends pairs of shoes.

However, he has a word for the world.

According to Madubarah, have only 3 friends in life. God, Money and your Mother.
