FDC sacks MP Ssemujju again

The issues dogging the once Uganda’s largest opposition political party, the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) seem not about to end.

Recently, the Patrick Amuriat faction sacked Kira Municipality Member of Parliament, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda from being the FDC Whip in Parliament for rising up against his party leadership. He was replaced by Yusuf Nsibambi.

However, the decision was ignored by Parliament administration. Instead, Parliament maintained MP Ssemujju as a name formally known to Parliament.

However, sitting in Lugogo this morning, FDC Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi announced Nsibambi as the new FDC Whip in Parliament. This, as FDC delegates met in Kampala to elect new party leaders.

It is not clear if Parliament administration will this time welcome the decision.
