MC Kats has gone on a fiery rant against yellow brigade officials, accusing them of sidelining hardworking entertainers in favor of the politically connected.

The 40-year-old star revealed that he was summoned for a 10 am meeting with a government official over a Shs1.5 billion payout supposedly meant for MCs. But to his shock, after arriving early and waiting for two hours, he was denied entry because he had “no appointment.”
“I left home at 5 am for this meeting. I have been here for hours but I am not allowed to cross to the offices. Now 1.5 billion is taken by your people, not us who work for it,” he fumed.
With over two decades in the industry, Kats expressed disgust at how government neglects entertainers who hustle day and night to keep Uganda entertained. Instead, he claims, the money is being given to those with political ties.
“I am 40 years old, I have been entertaining people all this long. You guys have just gotten jobs recently through technical know-who,” he said bitterly.
According to Kats, the controversial payout was reportedly earmarked for political talk show hosts, though even top journalists like Canary Mugume couldn’t clarify the details when he sought answers.
In a surprising twist, Kats invoked opposition leader Bobi Wine, contrasting him with the government:
“That’s where Bobi Wine wins. He may not give money, but he gives hope,” Kats remarked.
The veteran MC then appealed directly to Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, urging him to ensure that at least MCs in Central region and Mbarara benefit from such allocations.

Despite clarifying that he is not broke, Kats insisted his fight is for fairness:
“I am not rich, but I am not broke. I know MCs who are suffering. We work for our names and yet we work for this money.”
As expected, his outburst triggered mixed reactions online. Some sympathized with his plight, while others mocked him, advising him to venture into farming instead of expecting handouts. Others accused him of name-dropping Bobi Wine just to stay relevant.
