We predicted that despite her departure, Zari’s impact on ex-lover Diamond Platnumz’ businesses will be felt for a significant time. A new song of Harmonize, one of the biggest artists signed to Daimond’s record label WCB Wasafi, has the Tanzanian Konde Boy singing in a language foreign to him: Luganda.

Harmonize with Zari

On a catchy, rhythmic beat crafted by celebrated Nigerian music producer Krizbeatz, Rajab Abdul Kahali aka Harmonize, lays his sweet vocals; telling a story of a beautiful girl he met on Instagram. Harmo Love, like his fans like to call him, goes on to sing “Nkwagala nnyo” in the chorus, a Luganda(main language spoken in Uganda) phrase which translates to “I Love You So Much” before getting complemented by the suave bars of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.

No doubt, Konde Boy, a native of Mtwara in Tanzania, learnt this Luganda from Zari, with whom they spent close to 4 years, during her relationship with his boss Diamond Platnumz. And indeed we have to thank Zari for representing our beautiful country out there.

Harmonize rose to fame with his debut solo hit, Aiyola which was released under Wasafi, and songs like Matatizo, Bado and Kwangwaru featuring Diamond, and Shulala featuring Korede Bello have got him critical acclaim. We also await the video to his collabo “Pull Up”, featuring our golden boy Eddy Kenzo to drop. Meanwhile, enjoy watching “DM Chic”, the breathtaking video directed by Mr. Moe Musa.
