Beti Kamya has told KCCA staff all is safe after the resignation of Jennifer Musisi as Eexcutive Director.

Musisi tendered in her resignation on Monday after serving for seven years.

Minister of Kampala Capital City Authority, Kamya addressed journalists at the Media Centre.

The minister said: “I call upon the technical staff of KCCA to continue carrying out their duties.”

Kamya revealed: “Kampala city is governed under the KCCA Act, 2010 and will continue to. I call upon the people of Kampala to abide by the provisions of this Act.”

The minister warned: “Vendors and hawkers are not allowed to operate in Kampala central district and law enforcers shall be there to do there work.”

She added: “Due to the excitement being promoted among the people, I felt it necessary to address the public. KCCA is regulated under the Act not people.”
