Caf Champions League Preliminary Round:
First Leg
El Merriekh 2-1 Vipers
Sudan giants, El Merriekh defeated Uganda Premier League champions, Vipers SC 2-1 in Caf Champions League Preliminary Round first leg in Sudan capital, Khartoum last night.

The hosts had an early chance to score in the first half but missed a penalty.
Five minutes at the beginning of second half, Vipers SC conceded two goals in a space of 2 minutes with Bakri Almadina converting a penalty and Ibrahim Altag adding the second.

Minute later, Mzee Dan Sserunkuma who had come on replacing Abraham Ndugwa scored a consolation to give Javier Martinez Espinoza an away goal.

Vipers SC will host the return leg on Wednesday, December 5th at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
A 1-0 in will be enough to see them through to the next round.
