Mbarara City have terminated the contract of headcoach Paul Nkata and his assistants following a couple of poor results.

Th development comes a day after the Ankole Lions were walloped 3-0 by Bul Fc courtesy of Musa Esenu’s hatrick at Bugembe stadium.

Nkata was names Mbarara City coach in September replacing Brian Senyondo who was serving on an interim basis.

He has managed seven games and only won once, loosing four and two goalless draws against Bright Stars and URA Fc.

His only win came in his first game against Busoga United at Luzira, a 2-1 thanks to Paul Mucurezi and Brian Ahebwa.

His assistants Baker Kasule and Hamza Kalanzi who was the goalkeeper’s coach have not been spared by the axe.

Nkata leaves Mbarara City in a place above the relegation line with 10 points from 12 games played.

The club is expected to name his successor before their next game against Onduparaka on Tuesday.
