Bobi Wine counting losses after One Love Beach is submerged

Floods destroy Bobi Wine’s beach

Musician Bobi Wine is counting losses after Lake Victoria burst its shoreline and partly swallowed his One Love Beach in Busabala.

All his thatched gazebos worth millions of cash, which had been built on the shores, were destroyed by the crazy waters.

In addition, the white sand and the beautiful palm trees are submerged. Luckily enough though, apart from the surviving paspalum grass, the remaining space is big enough to accommodate birthday parties.

In a clip of Bobi’s kids filmed at the famous beach, making rounds on social media, the commercial facilities on the shoreline are flooded and submerged.

The rise in water levels is attributed to the torrential rains that have been pounding the country lately.

Environmentalists say that this unpredictable flooding points to climatic change occasioned by global warming due to man’s relentless war against nature.

This is not the first incident happening in due course. In 2020, tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s Speke Resort Munyonyo, Lake Victoria Serena Hotel in Kigo, Country Lake Resort Hotel and Ham’s swanky home other structures at the shores of the biggest freshwater lake in East Africa were greatly affected by unruly floods.

In fact, Serena Kigo was locked down completely after the section of the popular 5-star golf course hotel property submerged.
