Police has arrested 3 prime suspects, making a breakthrough in the investigation of the kidnap and murder of social worker Maria Nagirinya and her driver, Ronald Kitayimbwa.

The duo was kidnapped from the gate to Nagirinya’s home in Lungujja-Busega, killed, and the bodies dumped in Mukono district. Preliminary findings indicate that Nagirinya and her driver were killed in the car while being driven away by their abductors.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga says the three prime suspects that orchestrated the kidnap, including the man  in a red jacket  who was driving Nagirinya’s car ,a Toyota Spacio registration number UBA570V ( as seen in the CCTV footage) were also found with a simcard belonging to Kitayimbwa.

The suspects are currently being interrogated as security agencies vow to reach to the bottom of the motive. “We have exhibited the clothing we recovered from them as we interrogate them further for more details.”
