Police in Kawempe are investigating circumstances under which an aspirant for Kampala Capital City Authority Lord Councillor was kidnapped.
Rukia Namuwanga, a Woman Councillor for Bwaise I, II, and III is also an FDC flag bearer for Kawempe South Woman Lord Councillor and resident of Kazo Central zone.
Patrick Onyango kampala metropolitan police spokesperson says Namuwanga reportedly went missing from her residence at Kazo Central yesterday (07/09/2020) at about 06:00h in the morning.
Onyango says her disappearance was reported at Kawempe Police Station at 08:00hrs am by her sister, Asia Nkata, a lawyer with Justice Centre Uganda.
Onyango says the relatives thought she would go back home in the morning but she didn’t and all her mobile phones were left behind in her house.
