Bebe Cool’s Son Scores

Youngster Alpha ‘Thierry’ Ssali scored his first senior goal for Proline as the side eased past MYDA FC in a Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 game at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

This was the second match for singer Bebe Cool’s son after making his debut recently in FUFA Big League away victory against Tiles and Terrazo FC.

Alpha, who was part of Uganda Hippos squad that reached AFCON U20 Championship in Mauritania, came off the bench to replace Brian Umony in the second half.

He made his impact when he showed great footwork to beat the first defender, then the second with a unique skill before firing past the goalkeeper to put an icing on the cake in Proline’s 4-1 win.

Goals from Hakim Kiwanuka, Brian Umony and Hamis Kizza had given Proline a 3-0 cushion at the break.

Ahmed Saleh’s strike proved a consolation for the visitors who will seek to overturn the deficit at home in the second leg.

The victory however puts Proline FC in pole position to reach the round of 16 as they look to defend the title they won in 2019.

The Tourney was declared null and void last year due to Covid19 pandemic.

Just in a flash after the second, Hamis Kiiza made it three from Kiwanuka’s back heel assist.

Umony could have got a brace when he was set by Kizza, but failed to bury a tap-in home.
