Kasangati Police is hunting for thugs who dumped seven number plates for motorcycles and vehicles in a bush along Gayaza Road, specifically at the location known as Kumbuzi.
The discovery was made on January 15, 2024, during a routine maintenance operation conducted by the UNRA team.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson says upon discovering the numberplates, the Traffic Officer at Kasangati, accompanied by a team of officers, visited the scene and recovered the plates that are currently under the custody of Kasangati Police station.
Owoyesigyire says investigations are underway to ascertain ownership and circumstances surrounding their abandonment.
He further states that as of now, no suspects have been arrested in connection with the abandoned number plates.
