Singer Rema Namakula has finally opened up about reports that spread claiming that she is choking on debts after her last year’s pompous kwanjula with boo, Hamza Sebunya.
Apparently Rema and Hamza put most of her valuables on sale including her Prado to clear the money lenders.
It was alleged that the couple had to recoup the dime they had spent on the lavish introduction ceremony. The rumors become rife after it emerged that the singer’s car, a Prado TX model, had also been handed over to city car bond. To many, this was evident that the Clear singer was sweating to raise more money to pay off the said debts.
However, while on a presser this week on Wednesday, the “Gutujja” hitmaker insisted that the sale of her car has nothing to do with her current financial position, adding that all the service providers were duly paid.
She went on to brag how the money got from the sold ride couldn’t even buy mere invitation cards which were issued out to guests.
“You saw how big my introduction ceremony was. The money from selling the car would not have even been enough to feed the guests. I am not in debt, and that is one thing I am very scared of,” she added. “I always pay all my service providers promptly and this is why you have never seen anyone come out complaining or say I have defaulted” Rema said.
