Last week, Ministry of Health wrote to Uganda Communications Commission ( UCC ) advising it to ban singer Eezzy’s banger, ‘Tumbiza Sound’.

According to the Ministry’s Director for Health Services, Henry G Mwebesa, the song  preaches against COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and has caused misinformation among different audiences.

“ I wish to request that going forward, all edutainment with health information/messages on COVID-19 passed onto the different media houses harmonized with the ministry of health before they are aired,” Mwebesa notes.

Following MoH’s move to ban the song, many artists and fans took social media to express their dissatisfaction and felt sorry for Eezzy.

However singer Big Size Bebe Cool thinks the Ministry actually did the right thing to kick the song out of the airwaves.

While appearing on a local TV station, Bebe Cool claimed that Tumbiza Sound is one of those toxic song which deserve no airplay in this COVID period.

” I strongly support that song to be banned. you see most of us just dance to beat without paying attention to the lyrics. But i keenly listened to that song and indeed to preaches against Ministry of health guidelines…”, Bebe said.
