Wasswa Bbosa Visits Bombo Barracks

Express FC will make the short trip to Bombo Military stadium on Tuesday evening 9th February to face UPDF FC in their second last away league game of the first round.

The Red Eagles who have gone 12 games unbeaten are searching for their fourth away win of the campaign which in turn will stretch their lead to four points at the summit of the table.

Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa will need to ring some changes to his squad due to a number of injuries picked up in the previous game.

“First of all we have a few injuries like our key player Arthur Kiggundu which is a set back but the focus is on, tomorrows game will not be easy because UPDF lost their recent game against KCCA FC so they will want to come all out but we have prepared well especially our finishing.” Express fc assistant coach James Odoch.

Left back Arthur Kiggundu has been ruled out for up to six weeks after picking up a partial tear ligament on his left leg during the 1-0 win over Busoga United, Sadiq Ssekyembe is expected to fill the void.

The two sides have met up 20 times in the league with the Red Eagles picking up 10 wins compared to UPDF’s 7 with as many draws.

Log leaders Express FC are the only unbeaten side in the Startimes Uganda Premier league after 12 match days.

Express FC won the last contest between the two sides in April 2018, the 2-0 home win was sealed with goals from Michael Birungi and Jalil Zimula.

Express fc will stretch a four point gap on the top of the league if it emerges victorious whereas UPDF will climb to the 6th position if they win tomorrow’s match.
