Through social media on Friday, Shakira issued a statement of apology to her fans albeit in rather a sarcastic way.

The ever happy TV gal explained that she was caged in a tight situation beyond her control when all hell broke loose.

She noted that she’s being unfairly judged by people who have no idea of what transpired.

The Youth Voice show presenter further claimed that she couldn’t avoid the act because everything happened in the blink of an eye.

“In this life, we tend to be put in situations beyond our control and then blamed for the outcome of such situations despite not having any control whatsoever on what transpired.

I apologize to my fans and the entire public for being in such a situation where a hefty man (student) decided to carry me and hump me from the back in front of such a young audience that is not meant to witness such a degrading act. I apologize for being too small to be carried easily. I apologize for not having any control over the situation. I apologize for the misogynist who carried me. I apologize for being in the arena,” Ibrahim Shakira said via her Instagram page.
