Suspension Saga Over
Mbarara City FC came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 against title contenders Vipers at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende yesterday Tuesday 18th May 2021
As it has turned out to be their norm whenever they get poor results, Vipers threatened to petition Mbarara City FC over using a ‘suspended’ player, Ibrahim Magandaazi
They had earlier done so against URA’s Patrick Mbowa but their chances went low after they were misled with fake records
Note that,
Ibrahim Magandaazi was booked in Mbarara City FC’s 2-0 loss to UPDF in Feb, 1-0 win against Vipers in March and 0-0 draw with KCCA in April
Magandaazi thus missed Mbarara City’s 2-1 win against Sports Club Villa
He returned for the away trip against URA and wasn’t booked.
He featured in the next game against Bul in Jinja and wasn’t booked.
He started against Bright Stars and was booked. This becomes the 1st of the new set of bookings as the other three had been overtaken by events after he missed the Villa game
He again received his 2nd booking in the 2-1 win over Onduparaka
This implies that he was eligible to feature against Vipers. He wasn’t booked in that game
The win thus lifts Mbarara City FC to 32 points and leaves Vipers 3rd with 53 points
