John Blaq is not impressed by the fact that Eddy Kenzo and Sheebah Karungi are bestowed with responsibilities to lead fellow musicians in Uganda. He is out here berating the pair without mincing words.

Just to get you up to speed, on May 5, the newly formed Uganda Musicians Federation (UMF), elected its inaugural leadership team. The Grammy nominee and BET award winner, Eddy Kenzo was elected the president, and the former TNS star Sheebah, Pallaso, and Juliana Kanyomozi as the first, second, and third vice presidents respectively.

Among other committee members included Finance led by Bebe Cool, research & Development – Daddy Andre, PR & Communications – Phina Masanyalaze, Special Interest Groups – Moses Matovu, Compliance & Regulation – Silver Kyagulanyi, Disciplinary Committee – Nina Rose, Chief Whip – Hanson Baliruno, Gospel – Pastor Bugembe/Levixone and Kadongo Kamu – Fred Sebata.

However, John Blaq was not impressed by the federation’s leadership, claiming they are not competent enough.

Taking no prisoners, Blaq pointed out that the artists elected in the influential posts are utterly lazy, busy, and worst of all, a bunch of them are school dropouts with no brain to lead the federation.

“With all due respect, you cannot be my president, never. Music is a business which should be respected. Just because we know how to sing doesn’t mean you can be a good leader. See, almost all musicians are school drop outs with no technical know-how. Some of the leaders failed to manage their homes and you expect them to lead me. You just hire people and pay them instead of looking for positions to boss people around. You lack financial knowledge but you are the head of finance, how are you going to manage Accounts,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kenzo and Sheebah are seemingly treating John Blaq’s rant with contempt, as the pair is busy going on with the responsibilities which came with the offices they are both occupying.

They have already chaired a meeting with the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS) to address crucial issues related to royalties for artists. Kenzo revealed via his Facebook page with picture evidence.
