Prophet Elvis Mbonye has sternly called for the unconditional reopening of churches, stating that no man or entity has any say on how God should be worshipped, but God Himself. This Mbonye said, during a Facebook Live broadcast, Secret Perspectives, yesterday.

Drawing similarities to the Biblical Moses that led the Israelites from Egypt, he stated that “At first Pharaoh wanted Israelites to worship within a given parameter; in some guidelines, with things not prescribed by God, or prescribed by scriptures. God says the way you can worship me is in this mode, but they say to make sure you are not more than 100 people.” “We are going to worship the way God commands us to worship. Not to worship but also with this other added stuff. The way God wants us to worship, that’s how we shall worship. That’s what Moses is saying,” Mbonye vowed.
Taking a swipe at some of the church leaders that are advocating for scientific guidelines to re-open places of worship, the founder of the Zoe Ministries longed for fresh leadership that is mindful of the prescriptions of God other than ceding ground to the science.

Mbonye warned that; “Faith is being sacrificed on the altar of science. People are saying in order for Christians to practice their faith science has got to first accept. If science doesn’t think you can practice your faith as scripture says, then you just cannot practice it. And it has become very prevalent. Science is taking the throne.” He added that “It would be understandable if it was happening in the unbelieving secular world; but it’s even within the church, among the pastors. You hear it being quoted, ‘because of science faith has got to be put on hold.’ Somehow faith has got to be compromised. ‘Things concerning God first put them aside. Science should tell us what we should do’.”

He reserved praise for a remnant, including some global leaders like Tanzania’s president John Pombe Magufuli that God has reserved unto Himself for such a time as this, that have not bowed the knee to Baal, that has not caved in to the global pressure to enthrone science as God in spite the mockery and fake news. “It has been said that in times of war the greatest causality is truth. So people like us who cast light to the entire world are the primary targets of the enemy to darken us in all manner of ways,” he said.

Mbonye, who opened the with a cautionary message that not everything presented, seen or heard in the news media is as portrayed, capped the broadcast with the same call. “I want every pastor, everyone that leads a fellowship and every man or woman that is watching and hearing me pay close attention and be more discerning on what God is saying, what God is revealing so that you can lead your people in the right direction and not be caught up in the deception that is about to be rolled out.”
