Diamond doesn’t own the Island, Mwijaku discloses

Diamond Platnumz is undoubtedly one of the wealthiest artiste in the region, but could he be overstating his net worth?

A few days ago he left tongues wagging when he revealed that he had purchased an island in Zanzibar. He took to social media and posted several clips that showed his project.

However, someone out here is busting the singer’s bubble with claims that the singer is just flossing but he is not the real owner.

The multi-award winning TZ star reportedly bought the island for a whopping Tsh1.8 billion (UGX 2.9billion).

Media reports in his native Tanzania reported that the Mtasubiri hitmaker is building a high-end hotel in Zanzibar as he seeks to tap into the flourishing tourism business in the famous holiday paradise.

However, controversial Tanzanian media personality Mwijaku has poured cold water on reports that Diamond bought an island in the Zanzibar archipelago.

While commenting on an Instagram post by Wasafi FM presenter Baba Levo, Mwijaku stressed that Diamond doesn’t own the island, but he was only the face of the project.

The Tanzanian media personality claimed that the island is owned by a Kenyan investor who picked Diamond to be the project’s manager.

” Lie to those who don’t know the truth. Diamond doesn’t have the money to buy an island. Should I name the owner? So nowadays when Kenyans pick you to be a project manager then you become an owner?” Mwijaku commented.

Diamond’s handlers are yet to comment.
