In Akambe, Gboy Revins croons somewhat like RnB star Allan Toniks. Actually one might think the song belongs to Toniks if he or she is listening to the audio with minimal attention.

The execution, the ad libs, the soothing vocals and arrangements of the lyrics might even get Toniks to think that he actually owns this song.

Gboy Revins sings so sweetly as he vows to put up a spirited fight for his partner in passion just to keep her safe.

Talking about the visuals, if you can watch and enjoy a video on mute, then that music video has achieved its primary purpose. The ability to visualise the song, the ability to bring the lyrics to life. Akambe is the kind of video you watch on mute and leave satisfied.

Gboy Revins settles for three locations; an indoor scene and two outdoor scenes. However, it is the outdoor scenes which caught my attention.

The video calmly progresses into a forest-cover scene. The beetle enhances this natural scene, although the couple’s costuming is too odd.

You will enjoy the video and long to re-watch it. And then get the lyrics ringing in your head as the scenes replay in the mind.
