Flavia Tumusiime tips netizens on how to survive January brokeness

The beginning of January always ushers in a new year, with expectations of a prosperous life and one in which new resolutions are made and promises to live by past resolutions are also reaffirmed. However, the excitement soon fades because January always seems like two months rolled into one.

When you make a simple survey, January is the toughest month to survive financially if you didn’t plan for it well. It is the month where one dodges his landlord the most, the school principal where his kid studies from and the owner of the small shop where ‘maama w’abaana’ always borrows salt and sugar when you are not around.

While a good number of people believe that this is so due to the overspending and extravagant merrymaking antics during December for the Festive Season, there are many other reasons why January is always filled with brokeness, excessive borrowing and gnashing of teeth.

Well, we are officially in December, a month for family gathering, partying, picnics, drink ups and making merry. We understand most people are fired up to shake off the pandemic stress with their life-savings. A section of people have already adopted a comical saying: “Enjoyment ku enjoyment If I die, I die” but Jan-worry is pitifully staring at them.

Those who have ever faced it’s wrath, like media personality, Flavia Tumusiime, are caring enough to share tips on how to survive the hustle that awaits after chopping money in the festive season.

Flavia has come out and advised netizens to prepare for the worst if they spend their savings like fishermen.

Taking to her Facebook page, the 32-year-old mother-of-one posted a pic, clad in a Maroon dress, which accentuated her hour-glass figure and captioned it:

“We have entered the eating season. Please govern yourselves and merry Christmas. Before I forget, please put aside January money NOW since the enjoyments might stretch into that month by accident.”
