Commuters on roads leading to Lubigi on Northern Bypass found themselves stuck with security asking them to use other routes.
Lubigi on Northern bypass was blocked this morning according to a regular user of the route.
According to President Yoweri Museveni’s media team, the President today is expected to commission the multi billion market built by the government at Namungona.
The President’s team stated: “The Fountain of Honour H.E President Yoweri Museveni is today commissioning the multi billion shillings market at Namungona constructed by the government of Uganda for the roadside vendors at Kasubi in Rubaga Division. Thank you MZEE. NRM delivering services to the people.”
President Museveni’s team say commissioning of the Namungona Market is part of his promise to the population as he returns to contest for the country’s top job.
The President’s focus points include; Fight COVID-19, Deepening modernization, Strengthening regional integration and Export promotion.
NRM confirmed Museveni as their candidate on Monday after returning his credentials to the party headquarters at Plot 10 located on Kyadondo Road.
